The coat of arms of Wirtland! Which is also a micronation, but a very special one. It is one of the few micronations to exist entirely on the internet. To make things even more interesting, Wirtland wanted to acquire land from Nauru. If this happens (happened?) it would be the first instance of a nation being made “from scratch”.
Funnily enough, international law is very clear on what makes a country a country. The qualifications to call a country a country are as follows, a permanent population, defined borders, and government, and the capacity to enter into negotiations with other nations.

European Travel Plans

As of last week Sunday, I’m going to Europe. True, it may have cost me a few hundred more dollars then I wanted, but I’d go through it all again.

To make it even better, my best friend for easily the past seven years will be traveling with me for most of the trip. I wish you could see my face now, because I have the biggest grin on it. Despite the stress I’m going through right now, and my obligations to countless people and venues, this is the one thing I am looking forward to the most.

The plan hasn’t been changed much, and it’s my hope that I might be able to still see some of Hungary. (Sorry Budapest, but you’ll have to wait.) Still, now my browser history is littered with strange names: Hradec Kralove, Kosice, Bratislava, and countless others.

Yesterday, a friend of mine told me to soak up the culture during my trip, because where I’ll be going for college (South Dakota - Rapid City, to be precise) has none.

I don’t care, because the biggest thought on my mind is whether or not I should sleep while I’m there, or try to cram in as much as possible.

The banner of the Incan Empire! I don’t think I need to explain the origins and history of the Incan Empire. Hopefully you all learned about the Incan Empire in history class.
